Terry Neely has helped us understand and appreciate pianos in a new way. We trust his expertise and advice. With Terry’s guidance, we were able to get a beautiful piano that is within our budget, sounds great and is a real treasure for our family.

Mr. Neely installed a Dampp-Chaser for our church and at my home. I am very pleased with the system, because it keeps the humidity level in the piano consistent which permits tunings to hold much longer & better. This is especially important in a church sanctuary, where the temperatures & humidity levels fluctuate continuously. I believe the Dampp-Chaser will lengthen the life of my piano.

About me

In 1987 my family and I relocated to North Carolina, making our home in Cary. It was at this time that I returned to my roots in music...

I accepted a position as an apprentice to a harpsichord maker who is now at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. Together we performed museum-quality restoration of historic keyboard instruments. My first major restoration was a 1797 English fortepiano that later was used in concert at Duke University and was returned for display to its original home in a local Colonial mansion.

I also returned to my roots in choral music as a charter member of the Concert Singers of Cary, where I have served in various positions in development and management. I am an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild and attend seminars and conventions to stay current and continue to learn. I have been providing quality affordable piano service, including tuning and restoration, to the Triangle for more than 18 years and hope never to retire.

I am an independent piano technician. I am not employed by a dealer although I have done work for all of them periodically. I pride myself on providing the highest standard of service with a focus on honesty. I will treat your instrument as if it were my own.
